SurgiFish® Viscera Retainer is an improved, latex-free thermoplastic rubber viscera retainer used to facilitate an easier, safer, and faster abdominal closure (instructions for use). |

Indications SurgiFish® is the first "one-size-fits-all-incisions" viscera retainer. It is specifically designed for excellent protection and retraction of the bowel and omentum to the very last inch during abdominal closure of small and large incisions. The device has a generally oval body portion joined by a relatively narrow waist region to a small "tail" portion. Each SurgiFish® is imprinted with a series of contour lines that can be cut along should a smaller size be needed. SurgiFish® is smooth, pliable, retentive, and radiopaque. |

Although SurgiFish® need not be cut for most incisions, it is
imprinted with contour lines indicating smaller sizes to which the
retainer may be cut. |

 2.
Insert SurgiFish® into the incision and begin abdominal closure. |
|
 3.
When the incision is reduced to a small opening, reverse SurgiFish®
and insert the tail portion to complete abdominal closure. |
